Special Petitions to the Holy Spirit (Fr. Beda Ludwig OSB)

O Holy Spirit, I ask You humbly and earnestly,
grant me a very special grace,
which I implore from Your infinite mercy.
Grant that before my death I may make good all the losses of grace
that I had the misfortune to bring about.
Grant that I may attain the highest degree of grace, merit and glory
to which You wished to lead me according to Your first intention,
but which I have thwarted until now by my constant unfaithfulness.
Finally, forgive me the sins in which I shared the guilt of others
and crown Your mercy toward me
by making good Yourself, in those souls, the losses of grace
that they suffered through my fault.
Amen.

Daily prayer of Fr. Beda Ludwig OSB. Imprimatur: Friburgi Helv. 4.2.1950.
