Hymn for Lauds on the Feast of the Name of Jesus

Jesus, You source of all goodness, You hope-giving strength of every joy, You are the origin of all beauty, the heart’s deepest passion.

Jesus, in whom penitents hope; how kind You are to the one who strives, how good to all who seek You; what must it be for the one who finds?

Jesus, You true sun of life for everyone who longs for You, who seeks You even in tears and trembles for heaven’s answer.

Jesus, You our Lord and Savior, Your light gives us the new day, the world is made new, sheltered in You, the darkness yielded to the light.

Jesus, You offspring of the Virgin Mother, You fair radiance of our love, to You be thanks, to You praise and honor, one day in full in the kingdom of the blessed. Amen.
