The Jesus Prayer

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me!

Among the Christians of the East, the most widespread form is: “Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me!”

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me

If your soul repeats these seven words with reverence and longing: “Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me,” it will never be sated! Say it all your life! They hold so much sap!
St. Elder Porphyrios

Jesus Christ

Lord Jesus

Jesus

The name of Jesus can be used alone or joined to a shorter or longer phrase. Simpler still: “Jesus Christ” or “Lord Jesus.” The shortest form of the invocation is the name “Jesus” alone.
